QC Photos: What They Can and Cannot Tell You
QC photos can support checks of visible identity, condition and measurements. They cannot establish everything about a product. Their value depends on which item was photographed, what the image actually shows and whether it can be matched to your order.
When researching through Pandabuy Spreadsheet, distinguish an older public album from photographs of your own received unit. A shared album may help you form questions; it does not document a later purchase automatically.
Link the photographs to the order first
Keep the source ID and full option record beside the images. Match the product type, colour, size label, quantity and any version or included parts that matter. If an album cannot be tied to a particular listing or option, leave that relationship unconfirmed.
Superbuy's shopping-agent guide describes inspection and photographs after warehouse receipt, and notes that its 1688 purchases use a different QC standard. That is a service-specific example. It is not a promise that every agent provides the same views or inspection scope.
Ask for a view that answers a question
For an unreadable label, request a close-up. For a dimension, specify the two endpoints and ask for the tape and garment to be visible in the same view. For a mark, ask for a focused photograph that shows both the detail and where it sits on the item.
An example request is: “Please show the inside size label and photograph the garment flat, with the tape running from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.” This is a suggested request, not a report of a test or a guarantee that a service will supply it.
The community's beginner guidance includes sizing and insole-measurement discussion. Treat those comments as reasons to ask a precise question, not as proof that a model fits everyone the same way.
What stays unknown from photographs
A clear picture can reveal a visible mismatch. It cannot by itself prove authenticity, composition, internal construction, comfort or long-term durability. Lighting, camera distance and the part of the item in view can also limit comparisons.
If you are judging a measurement, compare it with a reference taken by the same method. A label photo cannot replace that measurement. An image of the correct colour cannot establish that all the other options are correct.
Make the decision from the evidence available
Save the order record, original photos, follow-up request and reply. Check the current service and seller process before any relevant deadline if you see a problem. Accepting an image set is a decision about the evidence you have, not a guarantee of future performance.
